Contact Minister Bruton

The Government has announced plans to transfer patronage of some Church-controlled schools over to other school bodies, but the proposed plan is bad news for many children and thier parents. It hands huge power and influence over to the Church and other vested interests, rather than to the most important players: the families who are seeking alternatives to religious-run schools in Ireland. Educate Together is encouraging families to contact the Minister of Education: ask him to amend the proposed reconfiguration plan and to give the people what they actually want: a Fair, Transparent and Equal plan that will deliver truly equality-based schools all over Ireland.
